But today we are all about the s’mores dip.

Have you ever had it? Omg I adore it!

It’s got everything you already know and love about s’mores. Melty chocolate, gooey toasted marshmallows, and crunchy graham crackers. In dip form! Yassss!

You’re going to love how easy it is to make this s’mores dip recipe. You don’t even need a campfire! It only takes about 5 or 10 minutes to make, and doesn’t it make such a gorgeous presentation for a party or potluck?

WHAT IS S’MORES DIP?

S’mores dip is a quick and easy way for a whole crowd to enjoy s’mores all at once. It takes just a few minutes to whip up in the oven.

It’s got layers of melty milk chocolate and toasted marshmallow, and you can just scoop it right onto a graham cracker, or any other kind of dipper!

HOW TO MAKE S’MORES DIP

This recipe is so easy, it’s practically foolproof!

Start by placing a layer of chocolate in the bottom of your dish. You can use chocolate chips OR chocolate bars broken into smaller pieces.

I like milk chocolate best, but you could substitute semi-sweet, bittersweet, or white chocolate if you’d like.

Scatter the chocolate into an even layer at the bottom of the baking dish.

Then, place the marshmallows on top. Feel free to use whatever you have on hand: mini marshmallows, jumbo marshmallows, or regular marshmallows.

Don’t be afraid to really wedge them in tight!

Next just slide this into a preheated 425 degree (F) oven. After around 5 minutes, the marshmallows will be toasty and brown on top, and the chocolate underneath will be gooey and melted.

Serve it hot from the oven, surrounded with dippers. Graham crackers are the most traditional, but I like fresh strawberries and pretzel crisps too.

And I think peanut butter cookies or Oreos would also be a great choice!

If you live in an area where you can’t get graham crackers, try making them yourself with this recipe: Homemade Graham Crackers. Or, Biscoff cookies or Maria cookies would make a great substitute.

CAN THIS BE MADE IN THE MICROWAVE?

You can definitely make this in the microwave. There are just a couple of things to keep in mind:

  1. You’ll need to use a microwave-safe dish.
  2. You won’t get the crispy brown tops on your marshmallows. The will get gooey and melty, they just won’t be toasty.

If you choose to do it this way, microwave just the chocolate first, in 30-second increments until it’s mostly melted.

Then add the marshmallows and microwave again, just until they start to puff up. (If you microwave them too long, the marshmallows will get hard and chewy.)

And dive in!

CAN THIS BE MADE WITHOUT A SKILLET?

I like using a cast-iron skillet for this recipe because it really holds the heat in for a long time. The chocolate stays melty and the marshmallows stay gooey, and that is just how it’s meant to be enjoyed.

If you don’t have a skillet, click here to buy one: 8-inch Cast-Iron Skillet. It will be a fantastic addition to your kitchen! So useful for so many different things.

Or you can use whatever kind of baking dish you have on hand- as long as it’s oven safe! The ingredient quantities listed in the recipe card below are based on an 8-inch round dish, so if your pan is smaller or larger, you may have to adjust accordingly.

You could even make individual s’mores dip in ramekins! How fun and cute!

CAN YOU REHEAT S’MORES DIP?

If your chocolate gets too firm and your marshmallows lose their gooey-ness, just pop the pan back into a hot oven for a few minutes, to get it warmed back up.

All fixed!
