Growing up in Woodinville, Washington, I have witnessed the explosion of Washington wine country. Fun fact: my childhood home is even now a winery.

When we first moved to Woodinville, Chateau Ste Michelle was the staple of the wine country, each summer we could hear the concerts in our backyard and I loved watching the 4th of July fireworks that they put on from my front lawn. Theirfresh and crisp Sauvignon Blanc is a great wine pairing for this Washington Apple Crisp.

Matthews & Tenor are a couple of my favorite Woodinville Wineries. The Tenor Sauvignon Blanc is absolutely amazing, and you might not want to share. If red wine is more your taste, the Matthews Claret is a great choice. I am much more of a white wine person, but I definitely enjoy this Claret.

If you are looking to make this yourself, Wayfair.com has some great items for your kitchen needs. I love how these Pyrex pans now come with lids, perfect for transporting to friend’s homes. I always use these glass mixing bowlswhen making crisps, the different sizes are perfect for making both the filling and topping. Of course, you also need some wine to enjoy with this dessert so make sure to stock some stemless wine glasses in your kitchen!

I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe and get a chance to make it. One of the great things about Washington Apple Crisp is that you can make it year round! What is your favorite way to enjoy apples?
